ATLANTA: – This weekend the 9th Annual Atlanta Arts Festival filled Piedmont Park with life, color, music, and art from more than 200 talented artists in 12 different mediums. The 2015 Festival was enjoyed by art lovers, families, friends, and foodies alike. Attendees experienced beautiful weather, hands-on art activities, live music and savory bites while perusing incredible artwork from across the country. While the Festival founders pride themselves on offering a variety of activities and beautiful art for every interest, they also take time to highlight the true stars of the show, the artists.

This nationally recognized Festival brings together outstanding artists and Atlanta's enormous art buying community for one of the country's best art weekends. Featuring 200 artists from more than 12 mediums, artist demonstrations and classes, live music, festival cuisine and more, makes this award winning Festival perfect for all ages.

   

     
  SUNSHINE ARTIST MAGAZINE RECOGNIZES ATLANTA ARTS FESTIVAL SHOW POSTER

Atlanta Arts Festival was recently awarded "Best Overall" by Sunshine Artist magazine for its 2013 commemorative show poster, beating out a record 70 posters from 21 states. This is Atlanta Arts Festival's second "Best Overall" win in three years, which previously took the same award in 2011, and also the 2009 Sunshine Artists' Most Whimsical Poster award.

    Sunshine Artist™ magazine's 200 Best ranked the Atlanta Arts Festival as #98 in The 100 Best Fine Art & Design Shows category. The 20th annual rankings were released in the September 2012 issue.

Sunshine Artist is America's premier art and craft show magazine.
The magazine created the 200 Best as a tool for artists to use to track the country's most financially rewarding shows. Rankings are based solely on artist sales, as reported by the artists directly to Sunshine Artist™, for the previous calendar year's event.

  ATLANTA ARTS FESTIVAL UNVEILS 2012 COMMEMORATIVE POSTER

    Atlanta, Georgia (August 21, 2012) – The Atlanta Arts Festival is pleased to announce that Andrew King's Painting, "Roadmaster", has been chosen as the festival's 2012 commemorative poster. An architectural illustrator and fine artist from Snellville, Georgia, King's laid-back personality and rebellious style are evident in all of his works and is an ideal reflection of the spirit of the festival. His medium of choice is watercolor; however, he is better known for including sticks, leaves, dirt and condiments in his artwork.

Returning to Piedmont Park for its sixth year
on Saturday, September 15 and Sunday, September 16, 2012, the Atlanta Arts Festival will once again present two-days of nonstop fun for art lovers and event enthusiasts alike. Open to all ages, the annual free event features a juried show of 200 of the country's finest painters, photographers, sculptors, leather and metal craftsman, glass blowers and more. Bringing together outstanding artists with Atlanta's expansive art buying community, this year's festival also boasts interactive learning experiences and demonstrations, live music and entertainment, delicious food and beverages, kids activities, a commemorative poster, and much more. The 2012 Atlanta Arts Festival will be held Saturday, September 15 from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, September 16 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

ATLANTA – Thousands of art and festival-goers experienced
beautiful weather, hands-on art activities, live music and savory bites while perusing incredible artwork from across the country at the 5th Annual Atlanta Arts Festival in Piedmont Park. From food demonstrations on the new Art of Cooking Stage to Canvas by U! classes where attendees created their own masterpieces, face-painting for the kids in Lil' Artist Alley, free samples from Peace Tea hippies and giant crepes made to order by Colorado based vendor The Crepe Stand – there was a non-stop supply of festivities for people of all ages, and that doesn't even include the main attraction, the Artist Market! 200 of the nation's top artists set-up shop on Saturday and Sunday on the park's pathways amidst midtown's picturesque skyline.

ATLANTA – Art isn't just for the eyes;
this year the 5th Annual Atlanta Arts Festival revamped the music stage, gave it a new name and is bringing in acts that live up to the new digs. The Festival Music Stage will feature nitty‐gritty band The Whiskey Gentry, power‐pop anthems with Sam Thacker, and attendees can sail away to Margaritaville with the only tribute band personally sanctioned by Jimmy Buffett, A1A along with many more local Atlanta talents Saturday, September 17 and Sunday, September 18 in Piedmont Park.

    ATLANTA – Atlanta Arts Festival is pleased to announce that Amos Amit's painting "Night and Day" has been selected as the festival's 2011 commemorative show poster. Known for his mastery of batik art, Amit has established himself as one of the foremost leaders and visionaries of the style. Batik is known for its flexibility and brilliance and considered to be one of the most difficult art forms to master. Amit's work has attracted critics and collectors who continue to praise his unique and highly refined techniques.
   


     
  SUNSHINE ARTIST MAGAZINE RECOGNIZES ATLANTA ARTS FESTIVAL SHOW POSTER

    ATLANTA – Atlanta Arts Festival was recently awarded Overall Best by Sunshine Artist Magazine for its 2010 commemorative show poster, beating out 61 posters from 24 states, a contest record. This is the second award for the Atlanta Arts Festival, which previously took home the 2009 Sunshine Artist's Most Whimsical Poster award.

The Atlanta Arts Festival attributes this ranking to their efforts to target market the large and enthusiastic art buying community of Atlanta and the surrounding region.   2009 Atlanta Arts Festival poster selected for award. 
     
    Atlanta, GA - In the May 2010 issue of Sunshine Artist Magazine, a prominent magazine featuring arts and crafts festivals around the country, the 2009 Atlanta Arts Festival poster was selected for the award of Most Whimsical. The painting, the Sun and the Moon, by Richard Jacobus, a Georgia resident, features a “childlike person flying kites amidst tumbling flowers,” and was described by judges as “darkly playful.”
